During both Spring and Fall seasons, you must report taking a turkey within 48 hours, via the DECALS system by calling 1-866-426-3778.

To Determine Future Southern Zone Season Dates:

Archery Season:

Deer and Bear - The Saturday following the second Monday in October (Columbus Day) through the day prior to the opening of the regular Southern Zone deer season, and 9 days immediately following the close of the regular deer season.

Regular Season:

Deer - 23 days beginning the third Saturday of November.

Bear/Catskills - The opening of the Southern Zone regular deer season through the end of the Southern Zone regular deer season.

Bear/Allegany - The first Saturday after the opening of the Southern Zone regular deer season through the end of the Southern Zone regular deer season.

Muzzleloading Season:

Deer and Bear - The 9 days immediately following the close of the regular deer season.
